"We are honored by the vote of confidence and the support of the
Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation," said Dr. Krim, "AmFAR will put
its funds to work around the country and indeed around the world
to speed the progress of AIDS research. Robert Mapplethorpe
lives through his art and now also through his legacy to those
who will put an end to the scourge of AIDS. Because AIDS will be
over, one day. We will then owe Robert Mapplethorpe a tremendous
debt of gratitude."

Deaconess Hospital/Harvard Medical School for a Bio-Hazard Level 3
