The AIDS Interfaith Network, Inc., of North Texas is pleased to
announce the addition of several new staff members dedicated to
serving the needs of those affected by HIV/AIDS in the North Texas
Community.
Joining the A.I.N. staff in the Oak Cliff office (371-1900) is
Ms. Alpha Thomas, formerly of the Dallas Urban League. Ms. Thomas
will function as a Case Worker for the African-American community.
Serving the Denton County region through the Denton office (817-
566-2437) is Ms. Jacqueline Smith, R.N., who will function as
coordinator of outreach and client services for the Denton Region,. as
well as working directly will women impacted by this disease. Ms.
Smith brings a wealth of experience to the A.I.N. staff having served
formerly with the VNA AIDS team as well as the AIDS Clinic at Parkland
Hospital.
In the Collin, Rockwall, Hunt and Ellis County areas, Mr. Jim
Knabel has joined the staff to develop the A.I.N. Care Team and
client services ministries in those areas. A Baptist Deacon, Mr.
Knabel has had extensive work in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, as
