"Infectious and noninfectious diseases and common ailments of sheep in America are considered in this bulletin. It does not deal with diseases caused by animal parasites, such as gid, grub in the head, stomach, lung, and intestinal-worm affections, liver rot, scabies, etc., nor with plant poisoning. These diseases are described in other publications of the Department of Agriculture. The aim has been to give only the more important of characteristic symptoms which would be of value in distinguishing one disease from another....
