With school out, every day is a urday for Fort worth
youngsters, but today is a special Saturday. The
city opens its municipal pools for the summer season.
At the Sycamore Pool, 15-year-old John Plies' made sure
he'd be the first in the water. John.arrived at 7:30
this morning, an hour and a half before the pool opened.
And, at nine o'clock John buys the first ticket and
the city's swim season is officially opened.
FROG FEET WALKS
For the present, the seven . municipal pools
in the city will be openM twelve hours a day,
from nine a.m. to nine p.m. Officials mpi say when
the weather gets warmer, the pools will remain open
later at night.

Swimmers in the Lake Como area jam the new pool there,
as it opens for first p full season.
The pool was scheduled for completion last summer,* but
wasn't ready until the regular season inid ended.
