ROACH CRITICAL OF CITY JUDGE
The Fort Worth city council takes up the complaint of
Mrs. E.E. Manney who last week said she was insulted
and mistreated in corporation court and 1 that she
was denied the right of making her own bond. Mrs.
Manney had been accused of violating health
ordinances in connedtion with allowing a septic tank
to overflow on her property. The council ordered an
investigation on Mrs. Manney's complaint that she was
taken to jail by Warrant Officer Howard Greer who
insulted her and that she was told she would have to
hire a lawyer to make 25 dollars bond.
Offiver Greer sits in the council chamber as the
council is given a report which states Greer did not
mistreat Mrs. Manney. Greer says he only served the
warrant after Mrs. Manney broke her promise to come
