a car plunges from a turnpike exit lane near
Riverside and plunges into the Trinity River.

The driver of the car --B.L.Prather of
Grand Prairie -- tells police he was driving west
on the turnpike and lost control of the car.
Prather is not injured.
LONG OF. COPS AND BENT FENCE
The automobile bent and hurtled the
metal turnpike fence, traveled down the concrete
retaining wall, broke through a chain-1;*IJ
fence at the bottom, then overturned as it went
over the river bank. It stopped about 100 yards
from the spot it left the road. Both men remained
in the car until it stopped in the shallow water
at the edge of the river.
