off a Carter field runway about dusk kk i today
and ploughed into a chain length fence a few feet
from busy highway 183. Joseph Kirby, at left,
and his, passenger Captain Norman Barrett, escaped
injury. Kirby, 22 years old, says the runway was
slikc and the wheels of the plane skidded when he
set it down.
