A portion of the roof 'of the Adolphus hotel
parking garage -- under construction in downtown
Dallas -- gives way and four workmen are injured.
Three workmen rode falling concrete joists to
the floor below and escapeiserious injury,
They are 52-year-old Fred E. Ward, 26-year-old
Euginio Luna, and year-old Jack Gassett.
The three residents of Dallas and
employes of Cowdin Brothers General Contractors
which is building the parking garage....
AROUND MAN, BANDAGE ON HEAD.
A fourth man injured is 48-year-old James F.
Allen of Waxahachie who was working * directly
under the portion of roof that collapsed. Cause
of the mishap is laid to wooden supporting forms
which gave way under the stress of "decked channels"
or joists,being erected.
