Abstract: Several safety basis cases or scenarios using three different fuel crumbling or degradation
approaches were simulated with a modified HANSF Code. Results of simulations are compared
and discussed. The conclusion is that the safety basis fuel reaction enhancement factors are
conservative and bound other fuel crumbling approaches for the results of interest.
