Suit of red suede in a beaded Native American Indian style feather motif.
Notes
A) Jacket with V-neck line and a center front closure of three silver flower motif buttons with coral centers; edges of opening and buttonholes are laced with matching red suede. Princess seams. Three piece long sleeves with lacing on back seam. Left and right sides of front are trimmed with matching beaded appliques in feather motifs. Bottom of jacket is seamed with western style point and has 1/2" fringe at the hem. Unlined. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Gossamer Wings / by / Barbara Grimes / Santa Fe" B) Long skirt of matching red suede; lacing down center front and side seams. Waist band is 1" wide with suede lacing. Bottom section of skirt is seamed in the same western style as jacket bottom with zigzag hemline and 14" long fringe at hem. Bottom is trimmed with three beaded feather appliques on the front one applique at the center back. Center back zipper closure with covered snap on waistband. Lined in pink synthetic. Designer's label at center back to left of zipper: "Gossamer Wings / by / Barbara Grimes / Santa Fe" C) Belt of matching red suede. Belt is edged in red seed beads, turquoise and heishi shell beads, and is trimmed down the center with seven beaded applique feathers. Round buckle with U.S. 1888 Morgan silver dollar at center surrounded by coral, turquoise and heishi shell beading.
