  • Content Description: The final performance report for the Wind Power Live! museum exhibit summarizes the goals and outcomes for the project. Project goals included: (1) help museum visitors understand why wind is being considered as a significant energy source; (2) enable visualization of the dynamics and power output of turbines; (3) exhibit a working wind turbine; (4) showcase wind as a technological success story; (5) consider the environmental costs and benefits of wind energy; (6) examine the economics of wind power, and (7) explain some of the limits to wind power as a commercial energy source. The methods of meeting the project goals through the museum exhibit are briefly outlined in the report. Goal number three, to introduce a working wind turbine, was dropped from the final project.
