  • Content Description: The NGDRS goal is to preserve and make geoscience and engineering data readily accessible to those who have an interest in using such data. To achieve this goal requires the careful management of the process for transferring data from data providers to the public domain and the creation of the information systems organization and infrastructure to allow data consumers to find and access the data. This report describes the NGDRS organization structure; the development of a directory of existing geoscience data repositories; the financial models for data transfer (seismic data transfer, core data transfer, and data browser); and the overall architecture of the repository system.
