Description

During the third quarter of 1995, an electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasma film deposition facility was constructed at the University of New Mexico. This work was conducted in support of the Los Alamos/Tycom CRADA agreement to pursue methods of improving drill bit lifetime. Work in the fourth quarter will center on the coating of drill bits and the treating and testing of various test samples. Description
