WEDDINGS!
It is now Mr. and Mrs. Will Swerdloff.
The better half is the former Sylvia Mar-
kowitz of Kansas City, Mo. The couple
is now at home at 3012 Roscoe in Dallas.
The ceremony took place on August 12.
On September 2, Miss Marinel Dean of
Dallas became the bride of Mr. A. M.
Platt. Mr. and Mrs. are now vacation-
ing at New Orleans, La., and Lake Mur-
ray, Okla.
Dr. and Mrs. Glenn A. Kidder took a
wedding trip to Mexico City after their
wedding on August 31. Mrs. Kidder is
the former Mary Jeanette Cameron.
VACATIONS
D. J. Oriolo returned recently from
Union City, N. J. and New York, where
he found the food very good.
R. L. Baldner visited the old home town
of Xenia, Ohio.
Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Grimble and
young son spent two weeks vacationing
at Springfield, Ohio.
J. P. Bilton visited his family at Kan-
sas City, Mo.
The R. L. Kochs and G. L. Viscontys
caught fish at Lake Murray, Okla.
Dr. and Mrs. M. H. Gorin went ranch-
ing in Colorado.
E. Gorin, Sam Knisely, G. L. Barthauer,
and C. R. Sandberg took an extended
trip through New Mexico and Colorado.
They caught fish, climbed mountains,
had a good time, and raised competitive
beards. Sandberg's was the longest. Bar-
thauer's was the best all around, and E.Gorin's was scrungy. The beards are now
history.
Atlantic Refining Items
Dr. Eugene R. Brownscombe will pre-
sent a very interesting paper at the Ft.
Worth meeting of A.I.M.E. on October
12. It is entitled "Precision in Bottom
Hole Pressure Measurements." If you are
interested in measurements, you will be
interested in this paper.
Mr. Gene Horace Sullivan has been
spending his time in south Louisiana for
the last 8 or 9 weeks. We are told that
he has been there so long he and the Na-
tives are having trouble telling who's
who.
OTHER ITEMS
Byron Combs, our well known business
manager, has been elected Vice President
of the Dallas Junior Chamber of Com-
merce. We do not have any informa-
tion on the campaign methods used.
Helman Rosenthal of the Dallas Lab-
oratories has been spending much of his
time in Court these days. He has been
an expert witness in cases involving the
handling and packaging of foods.
Dr. and Mrs. E. O. Heuse have just
returned from a trip to Wilmington, Del.,
where they spent several weeks with their
son Ralph and his family. Ralph Heuse
is employed by the duPont Company. On
the return trip Dr. and Mrs. Heuse
stopped at Indianapolis, Ind., for a visit
with their daughter and her family.
On August 24, a new member of the
family arrived at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas S. Bacon. John Comly Ba-
con is the name of the new addition and
is number three on the roster.October
