Lynn Eustis. She performed the roles of Mother Marie in Dialogues of the Carmelites and
Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi at UNT. This past year she won the Encouragement Award in the
Dallas Opera Guild auditions. She also performed as a soloist in the Dallas/Fort Worth
Ballet's production of Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream. In April, she will perform
the role of Elizabeth Proctor in UNT Opera Theatre's production of The Crucible. She is
from Houston, Texas.
BRIAN SHADOWENS (Father), a junior vocal performance major from Fort Worth, Texas,
is in the studio of Lynn Eustis. He is a graduate of Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas,
where he performed the role of Curly in Oklahoma! He appeared this past summer as
Amantio di Nicolao in Gianni Schicchi at UNT. Upcoming roles include Marcello in La
boheme and Thomas Putnam in The Crucible.
SARA SHEFFIELD (Hansel) is a senior vocal performance major in the studio of Cody Garner.
Last year, she appeared as Sister Mathilde in UNT Opera Theatre's production of Dialogues
of the Carmees. She also performed the areehsorole of Katisha in The Mikado with the Stephen F.
Austin Summer Opera Program, and was featured in Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's
Dream with the Fort Worth Ballet. This past summer, she appeared as an Apprentice Artist
with the Amarillo Opera. In April, she will perform the role of Elizabeth Proctor in UNT
Opera Theatre's production of The Crucible. Last spring, Sara was named the undergraduate
of the year in vocal studies and outstanding junior student in the College of Music. She is
a recipient of both the Deborah Johnson Miller Scholarship and the Presser Award. Sara is
from Jacksonville, Texas
ROSE TRAMMEL (Sandman), a junior vocal performance major from El Paso, Texas, where
she graduated from Coronado High School, is in the studio of Linda Di Fiore. She is a
recipient of the Charn Uswachoke Voice Scholarship. Last year she appeared as Frou-Frou
in UNT Opera Theatre's The Merry Widow.
LARRY JAMES WALKER II (Witch), a junior vocal performance major is in the studio of
Cody Garner. At UNT, he appeared in Duke Ellington's Sophisticated Ladies. He also
performed the role of Pritschitsch in The Merry Widow with UNT Opera Theatre. He is from
San Antonio where he has sung as a soloist for Christ Episcopal Church.
KRISTEN WUNDERLICH (Witch), from Waterville, Iowa, is a graduate student in vocal
performance in the studio of Laurel Miller.. She is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah,
Iowa. At Luther she was active in both the choral and opera programs, and performed as
Lady Billows in Albert Herring and Alice in Falstaff. She sang the roles of Zita in Gianni
Schicchi, Praskovia in The Merry Widow, and Sister Alice in Dialogues of the Carmelites with
UNT Opera Theatre.
