Highlights from the Minutes of the
DIVISION BUSINESS MEETING
Miami, Florida, April 13, 1967
Dr. Helen Ginsberg, Division Chairman,
presided over the Business Meeting. (Reports
and information that were reported
in the Excerpts from the Division Executive
Committee Meeting will not be discussed
in these Highlights.) The Treasurer,
Miss Barbara Montague, reported that there
was a balance of $5,508 at the end of 1966
and of $5,199 as of April 1, 1967.
Dr. C. C. Conrad announced that Numbers
1 and 2-3 of Volume I of DOCUMENTATION
ABSTRACTS have appeared and that Number
4 is now in press. The journal should
be on a current basis by late summer of
1967. It is hoped that ASLIB will become
a contributing member of the DA family.
Miss Barbara Davis, Division Councilor
on the ACS Council, reported that: There
will be no New Orleans meeting. The 1971
Spring Meeting will be in Los Angeles.
The 1972 Spring Meeting will be in Boston.
The price for Chemical Abstracts has been
raised to $1,550 per year. A new handbook
for authors will be issued shortly. The
ACS will distribute its new publication to
all members free of cost for the first
year. The Board of Directors has indicated
that it will support revision of the
News Bulletin of the Division of Chemical Literature
