Chemical Information Specialist
Herman Skolnik noted that the Clearing House
has no category for Chemical Information Specialist.
Bob Maizell noted that the annual ACS salary
survey should also include the category "Chemical
Information Specialist". It was the concensus of
the attendees that this was unsatisfactory and Jim
Rush and Herman Skolnik will independently write
to Al Winstead's office about this.
Stuart Kaback noted that we are not receiving
up-to-date information on membership. Every
division should be given the most up-to-date
information available just prior to national
meetings. The divisions should also be routinely
notified of new members. Jim Rush noted that he
keeps a separate list for Chemical Literature and
that it does not match the recent ACS list sent
out. Stuart noted that he had written to the ACS
concerning this matter and had received a reply
stating that it would be looked into. Stuart
agreed to follow up on this with ACS headquarters
