SUMMARY
Formulas f-or the calculation of influence coefficients
of curved beams of constant radius of curvature are presented
corresponding to dis-placements in the plane of curvature,
Moreover, numerical values are given in tabular and graphic
form for a limited number of values of the parameters in-
volved.
INTRODUCTION:.
In part III of these investigations (reference 1) the
bending moment distribution in closed .rings was calculated
by numerical methods. In the course of these calculations
it was observed that the determination of the influence co-
efficients of ring segments is rather laborious- Influence
coefficients are the force and moment reactiopsat the ends
of ring segments that correspond to prescribed init' is-.
placements. Their values must be.known when firing problems
are solved by the numerical methods.
* Formulas for the computation Of the influence coeffi-
cients are presented here in order to reduce the work of the
stress analyst availing himself of the numerio-methods.
