PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES
REGION 24 (MISSOURI) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO
HOLD 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ MEETINGS

The Region 24 (Missouri) Public Safety Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold two
consecutive planning meetings on Thursday, April 14, 2011. Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the 700 MHz
Public Safety RPC will convene at the Missouri State Highway Patrol General Headquarters, second
floor conference room, 1510 East Elm, Jefferson City, Missouri 65101. A conference bridge will be
available and the call-in information will be forwarded through the 700 MHz and 800 MHz list serve
prior to the meeting.
The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes:
o Stephen Devine, Chairperson
* Old business
o Approval November 16, 2010 Meeting Minutes
o Approval of agenda
o Any other old business that needs to be addressed by the RPC
* New business
o Discussion on 700 MHz applications currently before the RPC'
o Update on the City of Independence, Missouri 700 MHz trunked system (Call Sign
WQEQ501) which remains unable to modify its channels to the 2007 consolidated band
plan, pending a Commission determination on relocation reimbursement matters
o Implementation of 700 MHz interoperability channels and consistency with the
Commission's 2007 consolidated channel plan
o Discussion and update on 700 MHz low power analog channel use, regional ground fire
700 MHz channels, and whether analog use on General Use category channels on a
secondary basis is permitted within the Commission's rules
o General update on the 700 MHz Broadband proceeding, PS Docket No. 06-229
o Discussion of implementation of interoperability channels at 700 MHz and consistency
with 2007 consolidated band plan
