PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES
REGION 6 (NORTHERN CALIFORNIA) PUBLIC SAFETY REGIONAL PLANNING
COMMITTEE TO HOLD 700 MHZ MEETINGS
The Region 6 (Northern California)' 700 MHz Public Safety Regional Planning Committee
(RPC) and Spectrum Advisory Subcommittee will hold its next meeting on Thursday, April 14, 201 1.
Beginning at 1:00 p.m., the 700 MHz Public Safety RPC will convene at the Robert Livermore
Community Center, Cresta Blanca Ballroom (North), 4444 East Avenue Livermore, California 94550.
The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes the following items:
* Call to order and attendance
* Agenda review and acceptance
* Nominations for new members to fill vacant positions on the Spectrum Advisory
* Discussion and possible action related to use of the CAPRAD2 for filing future applications
* Adjournment of full RPC meeting
Immediately following the full RPC meeting, the Spectrum Advisory Subcommittee meeting
The agenda for the Spectrum Advisory Subcommittee meeting (voting is limited to
Subcommittee members only) includes the following items:
* Discussion and possible action related to Marin County 700MHz Application
* Discussion and possible action related to Golden Gate Bridge Secondary Low-Power
The Region 6 Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety
providers in Region 6 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in
all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be
represented in order to ensure that each agency's future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation
process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with
this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency's needs.
' The Region 6 (Northern California) 700 MHz regional planning area includes forty-eight (48) counties in the state
of Califomia situated north of the northernmost borders of San Luis Obispo, Kern, and San Bernardino counties.
