The Wireline Competition Bureau seeks comment on a petition filed by NTUA Wireless, LLC
(NTUA), a new telecommunications service provider on the Navajo Nation.' NTUA is majority-owned
by the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority; Commnet Wireless LLC holds a minority ownership interest.2
NTUA seeks designation as an eligible telecommunications carrier for a service area coterminous with the
existing boundaries of the Navajo Nation, including Eastern Navajo Agency and the "island" chapters of
To'hajilee, Alamo, and Ramah, but excluding the Hopi Reservation, which is wholly contained within the
boundaries of the Navajo Nation.'
Interested parties may file comments on or before April 29, 2011, and reply comments on or
before May 16, 2011. All pleadings are to reference WC Docket No. 09-197. Comments may be filed
using the Commission's Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS) or by filing paper copies.4
