GRAND JURORS WILL PROBE TRUST FIRM
Tarrant County's new grand jury is ordered to
begin a probe into the defunct U-S Trust and
Guaranty company. The order comes from Criminal
District Judge McGee as he empanels the new grand
jury which will serve the first three months of
this year. Judge McGee says he is especially
concerned about those persons in Tarrant County
who had money invested in the company when it was
placed in receivership. The judge comments that
state officials should have closed the company
long before they did and he urges the grand jury
to look for possible criminal violations of the
law in the Fort Worth operations of the company.
Judge McGee says the district attorney's office
is already deep into an investigation of the

Foreman of the new grand jury is Lionel Bevan, an
