"An die deutschen Frauen!

Dem Rufe seines Kaisers folgend, rüstet sich unser Volk zu einem Kampfe ohnegleichen, den es nicht heraufbeschworen hat und den es nur zu seiner Verteidigung führt.

Wer Waffen zu tragen vermag, wird freudig zu den Fahnen eilen, um mit seinem Blute einzustehen für das Vaterland.

Der Kampf aber wird ein ungeheurer und die Wunden unzählige sein, die zu schließen sind. Darum rufe Ich Euch, deutsche Frauen und Jungfrauen und alle, denen es nicht vergönnt ist, für die geliebte Heimat zu kämpfen, zur Hilfe auf. Es trage jeder nach seinen Kräften dazu bei, unseren Gatten, Söhnen und Brüdern den Kampf leicht zu machen. Ich weiß, daß in allen Kreisen unseres Volkes ausnahmslos der Wille besteht, diese hohe Pflicht zu erfüllen. Gott der Herr aber stärke uns zu dem heiligen Liebeswerk, das auch uns Frauen beruft, unsere ganze Kraft dem Vaterlande in seinem Entscheidungskampfe zu weihen.

Wegen der Sammlung freiwilliger Hilfskräfte und Gaben aller Art sind weitere Bekanntmachungen von denjenigen Organisationen bereits ergangen, denen diese Aufgabe in erster Linie obliegt und deren Unterstützung vor allem vonnöten ist.
