In Match XII, the student in the large group has a soore
of 26, and the student in the small group has a score of 24.
In Match XIII, the student in the large group has the
sane score as has the student in the small group, 21.
In Matoh XIV, the student in the large group has a score
of 20, and the student in the anall group has a soore of 18.
In Match XV, the student in the large group has a score
of 18, and the student in the small group has a score of 17.
The students were not perfectly matched, but in no ease
did the arithmetic score of one matohbed student exceed that
of the other more than tour points, There was one case with
a difference of four points, one with three points, two with
two points, four with one point, and seven Cith no difference.

American Histcry.--Thirty students registered for Ameri-
san history. The class was divided into two groups, the large
one consisting of nineteen students and the small one consist-
ing of eleven students. The Otis Intelligenee Seals was given
to this group of tenth-grae Amerlean history students in order
that each student in the small group might be matched with a
student in the large group on the basis oat intelligence. This
resulted in a fairly close mathing of eleven students. The
