Abstract: Excess volumes for 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene + methyl ethyl ketone + 1-propanol, + 1-butanol, + 1-pentanol, and + 1-hexanol were measured at 303.15 K. Excess volumes are negative over the entire range of composition in the four mixtures. The results were compared with those predicted by empirical equations proposed by Hwang et al. and Redlich-Kister.
