Abstract: The Open Access movement is transforming scholarly communication. Federal mandates for sharing the products of federally funded research drive scholars to rethink traditional scholarship models. The Open Access movement has been bedeviled by questions and misconceptions about intellectual property and copyright, peer review and quality control, predatory publications and other issues. This panel will address these concerns and help equip the AACP community with the resources to understand how Open Access can serve their scholarly endeavors.
