This report is the final chapter of a long-term project to assess the
environmental impacts associated with the construction and operation Ray
Roberts Lake during its first ten years. Many people have contributed to this
long-term project. Mr. Paul Hathorn of the Fort Worth District of the U. S. Army
Corps of Engineers was the primary instigator of the long-term study. His advice
and support of the project over the years has been appreciated greatly. Dr. Hank
Jarboe, also of the Fort Worth District, served as project manager and provided a
valuable guidance and also edited the final drafts. Many University of North
Texas students, faculty, and staff worked on the project. Key contributors
included Stephan Cairns, Ken Banks, Ken Steigman, and Bruce Hunter. The
administrative staff of the Institute of Applied Sciences - Glenda Cole, Candy
King, Belinda Firth, and Carolyn Barrett provided assistance in production of this
report. Earl Zimmerman was responsible for the coordination and preparation of *
the final draft.
