New Series, Number 12 ISSN 0894-5489 January, 1992President's Letter
Dear MBS members and other devotees of tiny books:
From the perspective of a bright new year it is a pleasure to
greet old friends and welcome new ones. Elly and I are already
looking forward to Conclave X in San Diego. Eileen Cummings
has plans for some new, different, and exciting things which
promise to make the trip to California a real joy and a
delightful experience, and this Conclave as distinctively
different as the other nine have been.
Massmanns are hard at work here on a keepsake. It is printed,
and now after Elly colors it I can bind it- 150 times.
Please keep in mind that August 1, 1992 is a double deadline.
First, Suzanne Pruchnicki must have your documentation of
exhibits, talks, or other activities promoting interest in min-
iature books, so that she can prepare the MBS certificates ofappreciation for Conclave X. Information received after
August 1 will be saved for the following year.
Also, donations for the auction at Conclave X can be sent to
me any time now at home, 478 Glen Street, New Britain, CT
06051. Once again, any items received after August 1, 1992
will be saved for the auction at Conclave XI. This allows us
time to prepare a complete and accurate catalog of the items
to be auctioned. We already have some very nice items for
this year's auction, both large and small.
If you have questions let us know. If you just want to see
beautiful miniature books and meet with friendly folks, come
join us in September in San Diego.
Sincerely yours,
Robert E. Massmann
