be the auction of miniature books and items related to their collection.
May we ask that every publisher, dealer, collector and aficionado
donate at least one item for this worthy purpose? Please send your
gift to Msgr. Francis J. Weber, 15151 San Fernando Mission Boulevard,
Mission Hills, California 91345. We will see that all gifts are promptly
acknowledged for tax purposes. Proceeds of the auction will be used

One of the purposes of MiniBitS is to serve as a clearing house of
information. Unfortunately, while there has been much going on, little has
been reported to us for inclusion in the Newsletter. Many of you are
involved in Exhibits of your Miniature Books. Some of you are doing
interesting things with the Miniatures you are publishing. We would like
to share this information with all the other members of the M.B.S. For
example, how many of you were aware of the fact that several Miniature
Book Publishers got together and published the Current Miniature Book
Listing which lists titles and prices of their books in print.? There is a
Small Press Center at 20 West 44th Street in New York City where these
Miniature Books will be on display. This was arranged for through the
good offices of Whitney North Seymour of the Lime Rock Press. If you
happen to be in New York City make a point of stopping off to see the
Members are also not taking advantage of the Sellers & Seekers
section of the MiniBitS. A number of you have lists of miniature books
and related items for sale. We also would like to have your "Want" lists of
books so that you are looking for so that we can spread the word for you.
And certainly, if you are scheduling any new publications, please send us
the information so that we can alert our membership to what is being
published and by whom. This could become one of the most informative
and interesting sections of the Newsletter.
