MINIATURE BOOK SOCIETY
VOLUME I NUMBER 2
Dear fellow MBS member,
Final plans are now set for the 1984 MBS CONCLAVE. The decision
of where and when represents the wishes of the majority based on the re-
sponse to a questionnaire sent out by Jim DeLancy and his committee. As
would be expected, there were a wide variety of opinions. Consequently,
some of you will be delighted and others of you will be disappointed.
Father Joseph Curran has been designated Conclave Chairman and has made
arrangements for the meeting at the Marriott Newton in Boston, Mass.
It is not in the heart of Boston, but is readilly accessible to public
transportation and auto routes directly to the heart of the city. By
being on the outskirts, it is less expensive than a facility in town
and still has all the amenities one could ask for. The address of the
Marriott Newton is: 2345 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton MA 02116. Phone
The cost of a room is $60.00 per night (single) and $70.00 for
double occupancy. No registration cards are enclosed, but you can
telephone (or write) directly and settle on your housing needs.
The toll free number to call is: 1-800-228-9290. Identify yourself as
a participant in the Miniature Book Society Conclave.
Enclosed for you is a proposed Conclave Schedule and Program.
Final details of the Conclave Program will be given to you when you check
in at the Marriott Newton.
