throughout this research project. I am forever grateful to
Dr. Lawrence Wheeless for giving so much of his time, expert
advice, patience, and support. I would like to thank Dr.
Jill Rhea, Dr. Steve Fore and Dr. John Gossett for serving
as my committee members and offering their knowledge and
guidance for the betterment of this study. I would also
like to express my appreciation for all of the teaching
assistants in the Department of Communication Studies at the
University of North Texas who helped me in the data
collection necessary for this study. Lastly, I would like
