This recording contains two separate interviews by Leonard Feather. The first is his "blindfold test" interview with Charlie Parker in 1948. After a brief silence, the second interview begins at 32:25, and features Coleman Hawkins on Feather's program Jazz At Its Best on New York radio station WHN 1050 AM. The interview is interspersed with musical selections (Fletcher Henderson, Money Blues; Red McKenzie, One Hour; Benny Carter, Somebody Loves Me, Hawkin's solo on Body and Soul; Passing It Around; My Ideal).
