Recording of Natasha Barrett's "Rocks wandering". This is a duet for computer and guitar. This work is a smaller movement of a larger 52-minute dramatic acousmatic work titled "Trade Winds". Originally, the starting point for the creation of this work comes from the John Dowland song "Can she excuse my wrongs". Recording of Natasha Barrett's "Rocks wandering". This is a duet for computer and guitar. This work is a smaller movement of a larger 52-minute dramatic acousmatic work titled "Trade Winds". Originally, the starting point for the creation of this work comes from the John Dowland song "Can she excuse my wrongs". The composer writes: "Rocks Wandering unleashes the musical potential of acoustic recordings from a 100-year-old sailing ship, interviews from a retired Norwegian captain and recordings from above and within harbor, shore and open oceans around the world. The music takes the listener on a journey through storm, reality and fable." The original concert format is a 16-channel source comprising second-order ambisonics and conventional spatialisation techniques. There are currently two alternative formats for Rocks Wandering: stereo or quadraphonic, both of which can be listened to at home or diffused over a loudspeaker orchestra.
