Dear General,
At last night's meeting of the North Coast Chapter, Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., there was a
very hearty round of applause for your efforts to save Cleveland's DFAS. At your
meeting here this summer, you met two of our chapters Originals, Mr. Roy Richardson
and Mr. Arthur Sanders. Mr. Saunders recalled that you pledged to help and you
certainly delivered!
This letter is to express our deepest and sincerest thanks for your proactive stance in
pointing out important inconsistencies that clearly weighed heavily in the Commission's
decision. But I would be remiss in not pointing out to you that our chapter would have
lost its treasurer, a DFAS official, had the vote gone otherwise. This fact was the
subject of testimony I entered into the record via the BRAC website, and I will not go
into that here. Suffice it to say, retaining DFAS Cleveland will have extremely valuable
social benefits that we believe match or exceed in the long-term, the economic reasons
for the BRAC's very welcome decision.
So, on behalf of all the members of Cleveland's North Coast Chapter, I thank you for
helping save DFAS Cleveland!!!!
Richard McDougald Enty, President
