Notes

Description from donor: Hoping to have these entered into the Archiving the Pandemic: COVID-19. The first picture (Copy of Black and White Spring 2020 Instagram Story.jpeg) is a pregnancy announcement my now wife sent out over Instagram during the 3rd month of the pandemic. Gremlins was the last movie we had seen at the Texas Theatre in Dallas before everything shut down, and we found this hilarious. The second picture (Married in Santa Fe, July 2020.jpeg) was taken on July 24th, 2020, at the courthouse in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The courthouse there had just reopened recently and we traveled across state lines to get married, despite murky guidelines on how to travel from state to state during this still early stage of the pandemic. The third picture (First Mask of Covid Era April 2020.jpeg) was taken in April of 2020, and it was of the first mask I was able to purchase, and the first mask I had ever worn at that point in my life. The first two pictures are important to me because these, the most important events in my life, happened during the initial stages of the pandemic. The last picture reminds me of the point when everyone began to realize a shift had happened in the way we live and it wasn't going to resolve itself any time soon.
