Dear General Hill,
Please find below reasons why I urge you to take the New London Sub Base off the Base
The Far East is the current hot spot in the world. Why close a submarine base that can
easily access both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans and has a faster route to the Far
East than either Norfolk or King's Bay? Doesn't this versatility constitute significant
military value? Also, remember the lesson we learned on December 7, 1941 at Pearl
Harbor - painful.
The New London Sub Base should not be closed.
Thank you in advance for your immediate attention to this important issue.
