Re: 130th Airlift Wing
Yeager Airport
Charleston, West Virginia
Dear BRAC Commission:
I am writing to you today to respectfully request that the United States
government allows the 130th Airlift Wing of Charleston, West Virginia, to keep their C-
130 planes. Please remove this airbase off of the BRAC list. Without planes, this base
will diminish and the effects of this will be very detrimental to the economy of West
Virginia.
The impact that the 130"h Airlift Wing has made on both foreign and domestic soil
cannot be summed up in one simple letter. The countless acts of unselfishness, patriotism
and military pride that the 130t has exemplified is nothing short but honorable and
respectable.
Please closely examine what the 130th has done for the United States. This is one
of America's top Air Guard bases and the consideration of taking away their planes is
something that needs to be re-examined.
The 130th has served and protected not only the people of West Virginia but also
the people of America. It is now our turn to serve and protect them.
Once again, I respectfully ask that the 130th Airlift Wing of Charleston, West
Virginia, be taken off of the BRAC list and able to keep their C-130 planes. Thank you.
Sincerely,
BET FISHER
