Kippie has a sister and Mrs. Medders has a second granddaughter Mr. and
Mrs. J. W, J.agoe, III, became the proud parents of a baby girl, Ann Spotswood
Jagoe, born Cct.ober 6 in Denton.
Miss Thcmas6 has not yet been able to catch up with all the matters that
accumulated in the office whiie she was spending the smmer at the University
of Chicago, As might be expected, any number of items have already been est
misplaced on her desk
Jinie Dale Prosswood and Dan Calvin Iilkins were married in the Little*
Chapel-in-the- ,-oods here in Denton on Sunday, August 26. They are living in
Arlington, where Jimmie Dale is high school librarian.
Mr, and Mrs, Orville Younse (Mary Ellen Lumpkin) are back from Germany,
and were recent visitors to the library department on their way to the
University of Washington, Seattle, where Orville is with the R.O.TC. unit.
Mrs. L. Ao Grimes, Jr'., writes from Palestine, Texasj that she misses
the library school, but that she is very busy keeping two children, in
addition to her own, during the mornings and playing for the dancing school
during the afternoon. Her "baby" will soon be three years old.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jones (Ruth Parks) in Denton
recently.
Louvenia Oldham Heard is now assistant circulation librarian at the
Anderson, Memorial Library at the University of Houston. Neighbors "half way
up on the next block" are Mary Timmons Duncan and family.
Gloria Murdock was married to Henry Wayne Kinnaird June 30, 1951, at Goree,
Texas. The couple is at home at the Hillcrest Apartments, Lovington, New
Mexico, Gl.o'ia is high school librarian.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Taylor became the proud parents of a baby, Jere Lynn#
September 24, in Lubbock, Texas.
Elizabeth Miller became the bride of John Burns Smith on Friday, July 6,
in Longview, Texas. Elizabeth is still high school librarian in Eunice, New
Mexico, and John is awaiting an overseas call,
Mrs. Herbert Buchholz (Earline Perrin) is now in Baltimore, Maryland.
She gave up her job at Rice in June when her hueband, "Herb," was beckoned
by Uncle Sam, Earline reports that she visited the Library of Congress and
the New York Public Library while in the eastern states She is servi,:, ss
elementary school librarian in Pikesville, a suburb of Baltimore, until she
can join Herb in Germany4
Mrs. J. W. Bond (Uyvonne Boynton) is now driving the Bookmobile for the
Dallas Public Library.
Mrs, Bill Spidell (Carolyn Hendrix) and SelmaRae Henry are now at Odessa,
Texas, in the Ector County Library. Carolyn is in'the children's roan and
Selma Rae is with the reference department.
