Alan Ross passed in 1995 due to AIDS and the parade was renamed the Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade by the Dallas Tavern Guild in 1996. Paul Lewis passed in 2014 and was one of the well known faces of the event. The parade in 2015 was dedicated to Lewis.
Outrageous Oral is a quarterly evening of GLBT storytelling hosted by The Dallas Way, a GLBT history organization. Outrageous Oral: Volume 17 was held on Thursday, September 17, 2015, in the Rose Room at S4 in Dallas, Texas.
