Description

At the Cancer Research Institute of the New England Deaconess Hospital radioactive colloidal gold has been given solely by the intracavitary route. To date 25 patients have been treated. These have been of two types: (a) patients with recurrent fluid formation of cardiocentesis in the pleural or peritoneal cavities; (b) patients with cardiocentesis of the lung in whom radiogold has been instilled post-operatively into the empty hemithorax.
