"A reactor concept is discussed consisting of parallel plates, spaced with a gap equal to plate thickness with a 2.0 v potential available across the gap. Fissions are assumed to take place in a mixture of U and Ar gas between the plates. It is concluded that this method of converting fission energy directly'' to electrical energy appears impractical."
