Lauren Chapman
Lauren Chapman received her Ph.D. in Educational
Research, Measurement, and Evaluation from Boston
College in May 2011. Her research interests included
the implementation and evaluation of school-uide re-
forms, with a focus on high needs schools. Dr. Chap-
man currently works as a market research analyst at
Quintiles.
Mac Cannady
Mac Cannady received his Ph.D. in Educational
Research, Measurement, and Evaluation from Boston
College in May 2011. His research interests included
teacher education and retention, science education
and program evaluation. Dr. Cannady currently works
as a quantitative research specialist at the University
of California - Berkeley, Lawrence Hall of Science.
Enrique Barbieri
Enrique Barbieri is from Venezuela and received
the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State1University in 1988. He uas on the faculty of the School
of Engineering at Tulane University as assistant pro-
fessor in the Electrical Engineering Department (1988-
94), and as tenured associate professor (1994-2002)
and chair (1996-98) of the Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science Department. In 2002 he joined the
University of Houston as professor and chair of the
Department of Ezngineering Technology, College of
Technology (2002-09). He served as associate dean for
research and graduate studies for the College of Tech-
nology (2009-10) and returned to full-time faculty re-
sponsibilities in fall 2010. He was director of the Cen-
ter for Technology Literacy (2006-10), and a member
(2006-11) and chair (200'-09) of the Executive Coun-
cil of the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center In
January 2012, he joins the University of North Texas as
professor and chair of the Department of Engineering
Technology, College of Engineering His teaching and
research interests are in the Systems Control Engineer-
ing Technology area. He is a member of the ASEE and
a senior member of the IEEE - Control Systems Society.Consider submitting your paper to the
