Original script untitled. Transcript of script: "(Washington) -- Congressional efforts to come up with a compromise tax reform bill gets underway today. A conference committee will try to work out differences between senate and house versions of the bill. Among other things, conferees will have to decide what to do about a boost in the personal tax exemption and an increase in social security benefits. Both are included in the Senate version but not in the house bill. (Hot Springs, Arkansas) -- Vice President Agnew today launches an attack on the tax reform bill passed by the senate. Agnew is to tell republican governors that the bill threatens administration efforts to curb inflation. In prepared remarks for the governor's meeting in Arkansas, Agnew blames "certain careless men in the senate" for what he calls "irresponsible tinkering" with the measure. And he predicts the effort will fail."
