Description

The Department of Energy's responsibilities in implementing President Carter's National Energy Plan include identifying the appropriate role of educational activities and institutions in that work. This study describes educational activities as they existed one year after the creation of the Department of Energy. Educational activities of educational institutions are included in the study, with the deliberate exception of the very substantial research activity conducted by universities.
