From Abstract : "A step phenomenon in the nuclidic mass excess surface associated with magic numbers N, Z = 8 and 20 is shown to exist, whereas only breaks occur at higher magic numbers. Excited states are included which reveals possible smooth trends within Shell-Model subshells."
