Contamination from airplane spray is normally very light
and soon disappears through action of the weather.
The bridge should be posted immediately, although there
need be no interference with normal traffic, provided person-
nel mask while crossing it. Shuffle areas are installed at
either end of the span.
A pathway of dry bleach may be laid across the bridge if
warranted, but it must be camouflaged to prevent aerial detec-
tion by the enemy.
If the bridge floor is concrete, a heavy drenching with water
washes it clear of surface contamination.71
