The College of Music is dedicating its October concerts as part of Daniel Pearl World Music Days,
affirming the ideals of tolerance, friendship, and our shared humanity. This annual event is inspired by the
life and work of Wall Street Journal journalist and classical violinist Daniel Pearl who was kidnapped and
murdered in Pakistan in 2002 and who would have celebrated his 48th birthday on October 10, 2011.
