MENG-JUNG TSAI (Polly) is a doctoral student in vocal performance from Taipei, Taiwan.
She graduated from Fu-Jen Catholic University and received a master's degree in voice from
the Birmingham Conservatoire in England. She performed the role of Nella in Gianni Schicchi
with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra. She was also a member of the Taiwan Opera Studio.
WEI-SHU TSAI (Jonathan Peachum) is a doctoral student in vocal performance from
Taipei, Taiwan. He is a graduate of National Taipei University and Lunghwa University.
As a member of the NTCH Opera Studio, he performed the roles of Doctor in La traviata,
Crespel in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, and Orson in Too Many Sopranos. He also appeared
as Monterone in Rigoletto and Pinellino in Gianni Schicchi with the Taipei Symphony
Orchestra. At UNT last year, he performed the roles of Leporello in Don Giovanni and
Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor.
CODY WAGNER (Bob) is from Denton and is a junior at Guyer High School. He is a
member of Guyer Choir. With Guyer Theater, he performed the roles of Major Domo in Les
Liaisons Dangereuses andAmos Hart in Chicago and appeared in White Christmas and Wit.
He was also Stage Manager for Guyer's production of Dancing at Lughnasa. Next year,
he will perform the roles of Man Bird and Lizard in A Year with Frog and Toad at Guyer.
ALEXANDRA WESSLING (Betty), from Lantana, Texas, is an entering freshman voice
major at the University of Texas at Austin. She performed the role of Meg March in Little
Women with Denton Community Theatre. At UNT, she performed in the summer opera
workshop productions of The Magic Flute, L 'elisir d'amore, Cosi fan tutte, Into the Woods,
and Alcina. She participated as a voice student at the Interlochen Arts Camp and the North
Carolina School of the Arts Summer Voice Intensive.
YANA WHITE (Celia Peachum) is a senior music major from St. Petersburg, Russia. At
UNT, she performed the role of the Stepmother in Into the Woods. She also appeared in
Romeo et Juliette, Our Town, Suor Angelica, and La traviata.
CORBIN YOUNG (Technical Director), from Grapevine, Texas, is a senior with a double
major in art history and Spanish. He has worked as a stage manager at the Murchison
Performing Arts Center for the past two years. Last year, with UNT Opera, he was on the
sound crew for Don Giovanni and on the lighting crew for Lucia di Lammermoor.
