Studies of technical issues relating to nuclear waste management are described. It supplements previous TASC reports on this topic. Volume 1 addresses events occurring before emplacement of the waste in a repository. The subjects addressed are thermal analysis of interim storage accidents and doses to the worst-situated individual in all types of pre-emplacement accidents. Volume 2 deals with the possible release of waste from a geologic repository.
