  • Content Description: Over the last year, work has focused on two areas: the phenomenology of quark-gluon differentiation in jets, and theoretical studies involving Dirac-like equations for various systems. Substantive progress has been made in both areas. A paper comparing details of the Lund and Herwig simulations for quark and gluon jets has been written and accepted by Physical Review D. A paper describing a new type of Dirac equation for the relativistic harmonic oscillator, and finding solutions thereof, has been written and submitted for publication.
